Sparkling Sidecar
| Christy Rost- 2 ounces VS Cognac
- 1 ounce Cointreau
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice (1 small lemon)
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- Ice Cubes
- 1 lemon wedge, for rim of glass
- Sparkling sugar, for rim of glass
Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice and add the cognac, Cointreau, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Cover and shake well until the cocktail is chilled and well blended.
Rub the rim of a martini glass with the lemon wedge. Pour sparkling sugar into a saucer and dip the rim of the glass into the sugar to coat the rim. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
Yield: 1 cocktail
Drinkmate Omni-Fizz Sparkling Sidecar
- 6 ounces VS Cognac
- 3 ounces Cointreau
- 3 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 ounces simple syrup
Pour the cognac, Cointreau, lemon juice, and simple syrup into the Drinkmate container. Process according to package directions to carbonate the mixture.
Yield: 3 cocktails
Simple Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves. Cool and store in refrigerator.
