Honey BBQ Sauce
| Christy Rost- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 cup sweet onion, peeled and diced
- 5 large cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- 2 ½ cups ketchup
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 ½ teaspoons Liquid Smoke
- ½ teaspoon Worchestershire
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
Preheat a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, add oil, and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan. Add onion, saute 3 minutes until it softens, then stir in garlic and cook 1 minute more. Stir in ketchup, honey, brown sugar, molasses, vinegar, Liquid Smoke, Worchestershire, and smoked paprika. Reduce heat to low and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
